Négociant is your neighborhood wine shop, cheese counter & café located in the heart of NW Portland.

It's the shop that brings all of our favorite things under one roof and now we can share it with everyone.

Here at Négociant we are all about the tradition, the ethicality, the small batch and the new wave. BTW Négociant is French for "merchant" so we like to keep it a little bit frenchy.

Our market selection is built around the way we actually eat and shop. Think: grabbing a quick lunch, keeping French butter in the fridge (a must!), and always having a tin of sardines on hand just in case. A lot of what we stock travels beautifully into a picnic basket, onto an artisan charcuterie board, or wrapped up as something special to bring to a dinner party. Host(ess) gift, sorted.

Our wine program centers on independent producers, sustainable viticulture, and wines that have something to say. From grower Champagne and Old World classics to Pacific Northwest expressions and purpose-driven natural wine, we love a great Meursault and a well-made pét-nat in equal measure.

We have events too. We have weekly wine tastings, we host special events and we have on site demos and classes.
